Sodium Fusidate is the sodium salt of Fusidic acid. Fusidic acid is obtained from fungus fusidium. Sodium Fusidate exerts anti bacterial activity by inhibiting protein synthesis. It is used either alone or in combination with systematic therapy, in the treatment of skin infections caused by Staphylococci.
