Chlorzoxazone is a centrally acting agent for painful musculoskeletal conditions. Chlorzoxazone acts primarily at the level of the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain where it inhibits multisynaptic areas resulting in reduction of skeletal muscle spasm with relief of pain and increased mobility of the involved muscles. Paracetamol has analgesic and antipyretic action with weak anti inflammatory activity. These effects are related to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
